Preliminary defense of PhD students’ theses was held at the Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies on June 18, 2018. PhD student Kateryna Kravchenko made presentation on the topic "Human-geographical features of the formation and development of the system of resettlement of the Kharkov region" (supervisor: D.Sc. in Geography, Prof. Konstantin Niemets), Alexey Chuyev made presentation on the topic "Spatial GIS-analysis of the Infrastructure Component of the Urbogeosystem (Case study of the City of Kharkov)" (supervisor: D.Sc. in Geography, Prof. Sergiy Kostrikov). The reports provoked a lively discussion and, following the discussion, it was decided to recommend the works to the defense.
