Pavlo Virchenko - PhD in Geography, Assistant Professor of the Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies, Faculty of Geology, Geography, Recreation and Tourism, V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Excellent Teacher of Ukraine
He was born on September 13, 1969 in Kreminna, Luhansk region. He graduated from the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the Luhansk National Pedagogical University named after Taras Shevchenko in 1990 and got a master's degree in "Geographer, teacher of geography" at the same university in 2006. Up to 2006 he was working as a geography teacher at the Kreminsky secondary school of Lugansk region. In 2006 he won the regional competition "Teacher of the Year" in the Geography category and regional competition of professional skills "Teacher of the Year 2006". In 2006 he entered the PhD school at the Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and became a Senior Lecturer of the Department. In 2010 he defended his thesis on specialty 11.00.02 "Human Geography" on "Spatial organization of the education system in a region (illustrated by Kharkiv region)".
He works as Assistant Professor of the Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies. He was rewarded with the medal of the Ministry of Education, Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine "Excellent Theather", diplomas of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of Ukraine and the regional department of education and science of the Lugansk regional administration.
