One of the forms of training scientific and pedagogical staff is postgraduate, doctoral studies and institute of applicants:

• Postgraduate school on the specialty 103 Earth Sciences, 106 Geography, educational and scientific programs "Human Geography", "Geography". There are state-commissioned basis and on a contractual basis of training, full-time (4 years) and part-time forms of training (4 years).
• Doctoral school on the specialty 103 Earth Sciences, educational and scientific program "Human Geography". There are state-commissioned basis and on a contractual basis of training, full-time (2 years) and part-time forms of training (2 years).

Foreigners and stateless persons enter the University for postgraduate studies during the year based on the results of assessment / review of documents and entrance examinations in certain subjects and language of instruction (foreign language).
