Kateryna Kravchenko


Kateryna Kravchenko – PhD in Geography, Assistant Professor of the department.

She was born on September 28, 1992 in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region. In 2010 she entered the Faculty of Geology and Geography, V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, in 2015 she graduated from with honors and earned a master's degree of Human geography. In 2015 she entered the PhD school at the department of human geography and regional studies and became an engineer of the department. In 2018 she defended her thesis on the topic: "Socio-geographic and spatial features of the formation and development of the resettlement of the Kharkiv region".

 

She teaches the courses:

  • Regional Development and Territory Planning
  • Regional Human geography
  • Scientific and Natural Picture of the World
  • Theory and Methodology of Social Geography
  • Urban geography (interfaculty optional course)
  • Economic Geography (Economic Geography) (taught in English)
  • Urban geography

Research interests: Population geography, Urban geography, Geography of Kharkiv region, Alternative energy.
