Tallinn University Lecturer’s internship

Associate Professor of Recreational Management of the School of Natural Sciences and Health of Tallinn University (Estonia) Mart Rainmann was trained within the framework of the academic mobility program of Erasmus + at the Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University from May 6 till May 10. One of the goals of the internship was to get acquainted with the recreational potential of Kharkiv and Kharkiv region. In particular, recreation zones and green areas of the city of Kharkiv were visited: Forest Park, Zhuravlivsky Hydropark and Parks of Industrial and Nemyshliansky Districts of the city (Zeleny Gaj, Park "Traktorozavodsky", Bogdan Khmelnitsky Park, Zustrich Park, Mashinostroiteley Park).

Together with schoolchildren of the region, Mart Rainmann participated in the 18 regional meeting of young local study researchers – activists of the pupils youth movement "My Land – My Parents’ Land", which took place on May 6 in the Gashinivsky tract in Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv region.

As part of the internship, Associate Professor Mart Reimann conducted an open lecture on "Recreation planning of green zones (based on example of Kharkiv and the world)" for students, postgraduates and faculty members of the department, which caused a considerable interest of the audience and a lively discussion.
