On September 1, 2018, a solemn ceremony of dedication the first-year students to students of Karazin University was held!
The rector, academician Ville Bakirov, Deputy Head of the Regional State Administration Anatoly Babichev, Director of the Department of Science and Education of the Regional State Administration Larisa Karpova, Head of the board of the Kharkov Regional Organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, national artist of Ukraine Victor Kovtun congratulated the first-year students. Traditionally, the fire of knowledge was lit, symbolizing desire and thirst for the deep treasury of the achievements of world science and the university choir performed the student anthem "GAUDEAMUS".
After ceremonial events, lectures for the first-year students were held, in particular for students of the Faculty of Geology, Geography, Recreation and Tourism, as well as for Faculties of Biology, Ecology and Chemistry, the lecture was delivered by the Vice-Rector, Associate Professor Anton Panteleimonov.
The first-year students were congratulated at the faculty. The opening lecture to the Day of Knowledge was conducted by the Dean of the faculty, Professor Vilina Peresadko, the students' self-government of the faculty told about the peculiarities of student life.
The first year students of the educational program "Economic, Social Geography and Regional Development" were congratulated by the curator of the Associate Professor Kateryna Sehida, curator and the
praepostor of the second year students Kateryna Kravchenko and Daria Ushvarok at the department.
