On November 23, 2022, the 16th All-Ukrainian Philosophical, Historical and Local Studies Conference of students "Know yourself, your race, your nation" dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Hryhoriy Skovoroda's birth began.
Organizers of the event: the Ukrainian State Center for National-Patriotic Education, Local Studies and Tourism of School Youth of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine together with the Communal Institution “Kharkiv Regional Station of Young Tourists” of the Kharkiv Regional Council, the Faculty of Philosophy of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University with the support of the Department of Science and Education of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration. The conference was held online, 170 works from young researchers from 22 regions of Ukraine and the city of Kyiv were submitted for 6 sections.
During the plenary session, the participants were greeted by: Vadym Ovcharenko, Head of the Department of the Directorate of Preschool, School, Out-of-school and Inclusive Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Oleksiy Lytvynov, Doctor of Law, Director of the Department of Science and Education of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Tetyana Kaganovska, D.Sc in Law, Professor, Rector of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Ivan Karpenko, D.Sc. in Philosophy, Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Dmytro Omelchenko, Deputy Director of the Ukrainian State Center for National-Patriotic Education, Local Studies and Tourism of School Youth, Valentina Sushko, PhD in History, Senior Researcher of the "Ukrainian Ethnological Center", Department of the Institute of Art History, Folklore and Ethnology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Valentina Redina, PhD in Pedagogy, Director of the Communal Institution "Kharkiv Regional Station of Young Tourists" of the Kharkiv Regional Council, Iryna Skryl, PhD in Geography, Head of the Department of Local Studies, of the Communal Institution "Kharkiv Regional Station of Young Tourists" of the Kharkiv Regional Council, Assistant Professor of the Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies of the Faculty of Geology, Geography, Recreation and Tourism of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.
On the first day of the conference, the work of two sections took place: "H.S. Skovoroda: life, creativity, views" and "The meaning of life in the views of modern youth". In their reports, young local historians from all over Ukraine expressed their opinions about the relevance of Hryhoriy Skovoroda's views in the modern world, the search for one's own place in society, faith in the victory and indomitability of Ukraine.
The conference resumed on November 24, 2022. There was a meeting of the sections "Ethnographic Features of the Region", "Spiritual Treasures of My Region", "Global Problems of Modernity", "Children and War: Modern Dimension".
According to the results of the conference, all participants received diplomas and collections of theses.
