Open lesson from the course “Tourism and Recreational Resources” was held

On September 27, 2018, an open lesson was held on the course "Tourism and Recreational Resources" by the Head of the Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies, D.Sc. in Geography, Professor Liudmyla Niemets and Associate Professor of the department, PhD in Geography Ievgeniia Telebienіeva for 5th year students (masters) studying in the specialty 106 "Geography", educational and professional programs "Economic, Social Geography and Regional Development", "Geography of Recreation and Tourism" and on specialty 014.07 "Secondary Education (Geography)", educational and professional program "Geography, Economics, Regional Studies and Tourism Work" on the topic: "Pilgrimage Tourism in Ukraine (Case Study of the City of Uman)". The lesson was held in the form of a business game in which students played the roles of scientists in Human Geography, History, Sociology, specialists in Ethnography, Logistics, representatives of the city authorities, local residents, journalists and they told the audience about historical and geographical features of Uman, features of habits and customs of the Hasidim, transport facilities to Uman, accommodation, food, leisure for Hasidim; the problems faced by local communities during the Hasidic pilgrimage in Uman. Student reports were accompanied by presentations and video footage and sparked lively discussion.
