Lecturers of the department gave opened lectures

Lecturers of the Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies gave open lectures On October 12, 2022. Kateryna SEGIDA gave the lecture on the topic "Concepts of socio-demographic development" for the 2nd and 3rd year students within the interfaculty selective course "Demographic problems in Ukraine and the World" and Kateryna KRAVCHENKO on the topic "Human-geographical characteristics of Latin America: a general overview" from the course "Regional Human geography" for the 3rd year students of specialties 106 Geography and 014.07 Secondary Education (Geography).

The lectures were attended by prof. Vilina PERESADKO, prof. Liudmyla Niemets, prof. Oleksandr ZHEMEROV, prof. Sergiy KOSTRIKOV, prof. Ihor UDALOV, Assoc. Professor Julia PRASUL, Assoc. Professor Liudmyla Kliuchko, Assoc. Professor Natalya BUBIR, Assoc. Professor Anatoly BAYNAZAROV, Assoc. Professor Yurii KANDYBA, Assoc. Professor Ievgeniia TELEBIENIEVA, Assoc. Professor Volodymyr REDIN, Assoc. Professor Svitlana RESHETCHENKO, Assoc. Professor Nataliya POPOVYCH, Assoc. Professor Olena AGAPOVA, PhD student Svyatoslav DMITRIEV, PhD student Polina PONOMARENKO.

There was a lively discussion on the results of the lectures, in which the Dean of the Faculty, the Chairman and members of the Scientific and Methodological Council of the Faculty, heads of departments and lecturers took part. During the discussion, they noted a high theoretical-methodical, organizational level, innovative forms of working with students, a clear structure of the presentation of the material; an interesting form of actualization of knowledge, close connection with the material of other training courses under educational programs. The material is well presented, the optimal combination of the text material with interesting and defining photos and videos explanation of the algorithm for processing topics for students' independent work, advice on processing information sources, etc. have been provided. The students were active and demonstrated an interest in the topics of the lectures. The open lectures of the department's teachers were unanimously rated as "excellent".
