In May 2019 a competition for the best scientific and methodological support of the educational process of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University was held at the University of Karazin on the basis of the results of 2018. The organizer of the contest is the educational center of the methodological work of the Department of the Quality Management Education. According to the results of the competition, the Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies received the II place in the direction "Promoting students' the scientific work".
