On March 30, 2023, the Assistant Professor of the department, Yurii Kandyba, held an open lecture on the subject "Historical geography with the basics of ethnography" on the topic "Concepts of ethnos and ethnogenesis" for 3rd year geographer students.
During the lecture, the main concepts of ethnography, ethnology, ethnogeography were revealed. The main scientific concepts of ethnogenesis were highlighted. The structure of ethnic groups is characterized. The lecturer revealed the ethnic processes and gave their examples.
Students took an active part in the lecture, discussing the problems of ethnogenesis.
