On April 20, 2023 a PhD student of the Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University Denis SEROHIN took part in the 26th International Scientific and Technical Conference "Geoforum-2023", which was held at the National University "Lviv Polytechnic". The organizer of the event was the Ukrainian Society of Geodesy and Cartography with the assistance, in particular, of the State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre. The topic of the conference was devoted to various issues in the field of GIS technologies, the latest methods of collecting, analyzing and processing geospatial data, in particular, using modern means of remote sensing of the Earth. Scientists of leading scientific institutions, specialists, engineers, representatives of specialized organizations and companies took part in the work of the scientific and technical conference. An exhibition of devices, technologies, software products, professional and educational literature was also held as part of the forum. The PhD student of the department, Denis SEROHIN, gave a presentation on the topic: "Modeling of the urban environment through the processing of lidar data for the assessment of military impact" in the section "Photogrammetry, cartography, GIS, UAV technologies". The report aroused considerable interest among the conference participants, a lively discussion and constructive discussion took place.
