Contemporary, nine students of the Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies study at the University of Ostrava (Czech Republic) under the academic mobility program Erasmus+ during the spring semester of 2021-2022 academic year. Eleven students of the department were selected to participate in this program, but, unfortunately, two of them didn’t manage to join their colleagues. But we are still waiting for them to join the rest as soon as the opportunity arises.
Earlier we told you about the initial activities of students, today we will talk about extracurricular activities.
TRAVEL. During the period of study at the University of Ostrava, you can not only replenish your knowledge, but also see the world. Being almost in the center of Europe, it is very easy to travel. Prague, Krakow, Katowice, Wroclaw, Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest, Dresden, Munich – it takes these cities no more than 5 hours by train, and it costs a small amount with an international student ticket. Besides these cities, get to more remote parts of the world quickly with low-cost flights. Therefore, traveling on weekends will not harm any learning. However, we should not forget about the Czech Republic, because you can go to the neighboring cities of Ostrava, namely Brno, Olomouc, Zlin and others even on weekdays.
