On January 27-28, 2024, the II stage of the All-Ukrainian competition for the defense of the scientific and research papers of pupils-members of the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in the 2023/2024 academic year of the scientific division "Earth Sciences" of the "Geography" section took place.
The professor of the department Kateryna SEHIDA took part in the jury of the section, together with the Professor of the Department of Physical Geography and Cartography Oleksandr ZHEMEROV and the Associate Professor of the Department of Geography and Tourism of the private higher educational institution "International University of Economics and Humanities named after Academician Stepan Demyanchuk" Oleksandr YAKOVCHUK.
15 best papers were presented at the regional stage, which won prizes at the district stage. All papers were interesting, meaningful, covered a wide range of current issues.
Congratulations to colleagues, graduates, geography teachers of schools from Kharkiv region, whose talented students presented their works at the competition.

The first degree diploma and the right to represent Kharkiv region at the All-Ukrainian competition was awarded to Ruslan BILOENKO, the 11-years pupil of the MI “ Kharkiv Lyceum No. 2 of the Kharkiv City Council” with the paper "Human-geographical analysis of forced migrations of the population of the Kharkiv region", performed under the supervision of Maryna LOGVYNOVA, director of MI "Kharkiv Lyceum No. 2 of the Kharkiv City Council", Doctor of Philosophy in specialty 103 Earth Sciences.
