On March 20, 2023, lecturers of the Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies, D.Sc. in Geography, Prof. Kateryna Sehida, PhD in Geography, Assist. Prof. Pavlo Kobylin participated in the talking session on the topic: "Navigating the ‘where’, ‘when’ and ‘how’ of publishing in international journals". Speakers of the event were Jonathan Rigg, Professor of the School of Geographical Sciences at the University of Bristol (Great Britain) and Hyun Bang Shin, Professor of the Department of Geography and Environment at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). During the meeting, the speakers told those present about the peculiarities of finding a journal for publication, the need to publish in international journals, the peculiarities of publication in Open Access journals, the process of submitting articles to journals, finding and assigning the roles of co-authors, shared the responses of reviewers, told which journals are predatory. Speakers' reports aroused interest among those present and a lively discussion.
