Associate Professor Kateryna Sehida has been trained in Erasmus + Staff mobility for teaching from April 23, 2018 to April 28, 2018, at the Department of Geography at the University of Girona (Spain).
During the internship at the University of Girona (Spain) he got acquainted with modern methods of teaching in the European Union educational services market, educational systems of the European Union, with a range of profile specialties in the field of geographical sciences, the system and indexes of citation of scientific journals, individual and institutional projects, conditions for the successful implementation of projects in the EU, program, project and grant opportunities of the European Union. The directions of further cooperation, topics of joint publications in European journals were discussed.
Also, she made presentation, familiarizing the present lecturers, students of the Department of Geography, as well as students studying at the University of Girona on the Erasmus + program with historical, geographic, socio-economic, ethno-national and tourist-recreational features of Ukraine and the city of Kharkiv, the fields of research and educational work of the Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.
She conducted set of lectures "Modern approaches and methods of social geographic research", including lectures on the following topics:
- The role of human geography in the studies of regional development and management (the experience of the Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies of V.N.Karazin Kharkiv National University)
- Geodemographic potential as an object of study of human geography.
- Methods of spatial analysis and GIS-modeling in geographic researches, territorial planning and regional management
- GIS-approach to the study of migration processes in the European Union
- Demographic situation and Migration activity as indicators of socio-economic development (on the example of the European Union)
During the internship, K. Sehida also got acquainted with the peculiarities of the natural-resource, tourist-recreational potential of Catalonia, history of settlement and economic development of the territory of the city of Girona, current demographic and socio-economic situation, directions of development of tourist-recreational activities in the region of Catalonia, etc. Tours were organized to the cities of Tossa de Mare, Figaredos, Barcelona, the ski resort Valade 2000. Also she visited a significant number of outstanding tourist attractions.
According to the results of the internship program "Erasmus +" the lecturer received a certificate.
