On November 20, 2025, the department held the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Region – 2025: Optimal Development Strategy”.
More than 80 applications were submitted to the conference from more than 100 participants from different regions of Ukraine and other countries, including Romania.
More than 40 participants directly participated in the conference, including from domestic and foreign higher education institutions: V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Mykola Gogol Nizhyn State University, Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, Ivan Franko Lviv National University, A.S. Makarenko Sumy State Pedagogical University, Poltava V.G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University, Kherson State University, Volodymyr Vynnychenko Central Ukrainian State University (Kropivnitskyi), Lesia Ukrainka Volyn National University (Lutsk), Babes-Bolyai University, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi (Romania), etc. The conference featured reports on topical issues of socio-economic regional development, research on cities, tourism, social infrastructure, migration flows, regional identity in Ukraine and other countries, including Romania. The reports of the participants of the conference aroused interest among those present and a lively discussion.
