On March 26, 2025, K. Niemets Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies held a workshop on the topic: "EU Nature Restoration Law: Basic Provisions and Possibilities of Implementation in Ukraine". Almost 30 students, PhD students and lecturers of the department took part in the workshop. Lecturers of the department: D.Sc. in Geography, Prof. Liudmyla NIEMETS, D.Sc. in Geography, Prof. Sergiy KOSTRIKOV, D.Sc. in Geography, Prof. Kateryna SEHIDA, Ph.D. in Geography, Assoc. Prof. Nataliia HUSIEVA, Ph.D. in Geography, Assoc. Prof. Yurii KANDYBA, Ph.D. in Geography, Assoc. Prof. Ievgeniia TELEBIENIEVA, Ph.D. in Geography, Assoc. Prof. Pavlo KOBYLIN, Senior lecturer Denys SEROHIN told the audience about the prerequisites for the adoption of the EU Law on Nature Restoration, the main provisions of the chapters, articles and annexes to the Law, as well as the legislative framework for environmental protection, nature restoration in Ukraine and the possibilities of implementing this law in our country.
The topic of the workshop is based on the international educational project: "Nature Restoration - challenges and opportunities for future landscape specialists" / "Відновлення придробнее – виклики та можливості для майбутніх ландшафтознавців", submitted for consideration for funding under the Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnerships for Higher Education program (KA220-HED) in collaboration with partners from Finland, Spain and Italy.
