On November 21, 2018 the next meeting of discussion club of students, PhD students and young scientists on the topic: “Scientific publications: how to choose the actual scientific issues and prepare an article that will be competitive in the global scientific space” was held at the Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies. Head of the Department of Economic and Social Geography and Tourism of the I.I. Mechnikov Odessa National University, a leading specialist in the field of Human Geography, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, D.Sc. Geography Alexander Topchiev lectured to students of the department, in which he told about problem of the transformation of the subject-object area of the modern geographic science, prospects for its development, stages of scientific publications preparation, presented a new textbook "Methodological Foundations of Geography: Landscape Envelope of the Earth. Environment" for students of geographical specialties of higher education institutions of the III-IV accreditation levels, prepared jointly with D.S. Malchikova, I.O. Pylypenko, V.V. Yavorska. The lecture caused a lot of questions and lively discussion.
