On September 19, 2018, the first year students of the Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies attended the University event "Olympic Lesson".
All the present at the event were greeted by the rector of the university, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine V. Bakirov, director of the Department for Youth and Sports of Kharkiv State Regional Administration, master of sports of the international class on track and field athletics V. Kirilenko, Head of the NOC of Ukraine in Kharkiv region V. Khristoev, Head of the Department of Physical Education and Sports, master of sports in athletics V.Tlchenko and athletes who took part in the Olympic Games of different years.
During the event, the students got acquainted with the history of the development of the Olympic movement at the University, saw demonstrations by athletes from our university on archery and cheerleading. They also had the opportunity to chat with students and alumni of Karazin University who had made great strides in sports and to review the Olympic exhibition, which worked in the hall before the Assembly Hall.
