On October 9, 2017 the Methodological workshop was held on the topic "Adaptation of the educational process in higher educational institution in accordance with the challenges of the 21st century: the implementation of the Law of Ukraine "On Education" with participation of post-graduate students and faculty of the Faculty of Geology, Geography, Recreation and Tourism at the Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies. The speaker at the workshop was head of the Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies, doctor of geographical sciences, professor Niemets L.M. In her report, Ludmila Nikolaevna talked about graduates’ competence of the higher educational institutions, evolution of educational space, emphasized the competence approach in the educational process, the teacher's creative activity as a motivational factor in the personality development of students of the higher educational institutions, she summarized the innovative forms and methods of studying in higher educational institutions, offered topics of the following methodological workshops.
