On December 20, 2025, the II (regional) stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Geography Olympiad for 2025/2026 academic year was held. The jury of the Olympiad included the head of the department, Prof. Kateryna SEHIDA, Prof. Liudmyla NIEMETS, and Assoc. Prof. Yuriy KANDYBA. The Olympiad was held remotely based on the Faculty of Geology, Geography, Recreation and Tourism of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. More than 260 students from secondary education institutions in the city of Kharkiv and districts of the region took part in the 2nd stage of the Olympiad.
The participants of the Olympiad demonstrated a high level of knowledge, skills and abilities in solving theoretical and practical problems from the school geography course. The winners of the Olympiad will defend the honor of the Kharkiv region at the III stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Geography.
