Lecturers of the department took part in the forum “Vaccination – step to protection”

Assistant Professor Nataliia Husieva and Senior Lecturer Kateryna Kravchenko took part in the forum "Vaccination – a step to protection", which was held under the project "For vaccine" with the support of Upshift Ukraine on April 24.

Within the framework of the event, the urgency of the problem of rapid increase of measles diseases in Ukraine and Kharkiv was disclosed. The speakers of the event were Dmytro Katsapov (Ph.D in Medicine, Assistant Professor of the Department of Infectious diseases of KhNMU, doctor of the 22nd Infectious Diseases Hospital), Valentina Makarenko (Ph.D in Medicine, Assistant Professor of the Department of Pediatrics of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University) and Nina Merkulova (Ph.D in Medicine, Assistant Professor of the Department of Infectious Diseases of the KhNMU, doctor of the 22nd Infectious Diseases Hospital).

Part of the forum was devoted to refuting the most common myths about vaccination, raised such important issues as: "How to survive during the outbreak of measles?", "What are the conditions for proper vaccination?" and many others.
