On November 16, 2019, Assistant Professors of the Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies Kateryna Kravchenko and Pavlo Kobylin took part in an ecological event and planted 5 trees in the area of botanical garden. The event was held within celebration of the 215th anniversary of the founding of the Karazin University.
In total, 215 plants were planted in different locations of the city (Otakara Yarosh Street, 24, Klochkivska Street, 52 (Botanical Garden), Balakireva Street, 45; Kurchatova Street, 31). In a few hours the arboretum of the Botanical Garden was replenished with new oaks, firs, pines, cypresses, larch, etc. All participants were tasted a delicious kulesh and compote at the end of the even.
