In November 2025, lecturers of the K. Niemets Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies, namely Nataliia HUSIEVA, Liudmyla KLIUCHKO and Kateryna SEHIDA, took part in the training "Psychological First Aid, Self-Care, and Mitigation of Burnout for Educational Providers".
The training, organized by the Psychological Support Service of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University together with the Israel Trauma Coalition, was conducted by Oleksandr GERSHANOV (M.Ed., Program Director ITC), namely a specialist in the field of psychological support in crisis situations.
The training participants mastered practical skills in providing psychological first aid, self-preservation techniques and effective teaching strategies in conditions of prolonged stress for 12 hours. Special attention was paid to preventing professional burnout and maintaining the psychological well-being of educators in difficult circumstances.
