Head of the Department of Human Geography and Tourism of the Odesa I. I. Mechnikov National University, Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine Oleksandr Topchiev lectured for students, PhD students and staff of the department of Human Geography and Regional Studies April 18, 2018. In his lecture the professor outlined the place of human geography in the modern world, emphasized the need for human-geographical research in the regionalization of Ukraine, planning of territories, implementation of administrative and territorial reform, formation of ecological networks in Ukraine.
