On October 14, 2022, lecturers and PhD students of the Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University took part in the All-Ukrainian scientific conference "Seven Sumy Scientific Geographical Readings", which was held on the basis of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography of the Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko and the Sumy branch of the Ukrainian Geographical Society. The moderator of the conference was the Chairman of the Sumy Department of the Ukrainian Geographical Society, PhD in Geography, Assistant Professor of the Department of General and Regional Geography, Anatoly KORNUS. The topic of the conference concerned various issues of the development of regional geographical research, geographical science and education. Scientists of leading scientific institutions, lecturers of higher education institutions, school teachers and employees of out-of-school education institutions, employees of the hydrometeorological service, students of higher education in specialties took part in the work of the scientific conference.
Yurii KANDYBA, associate professor of the department, gave a speech on the topic: "Use of labor resources of Ukraine (2012-2022)", Denis Serhiyovych SERYOGIN, a PhD student of the department made a report on the topic "Isolation of urban geosituations in the urban environment." The reports aroused considerable interest among those present.
