First stage of the All-Ukrainian competition-defense of student research papers took place

The 3rd year students of EPP "Economic, Social Geography and Regional Development" Valeria Mirenkova and Hanna Karaichentseva took first place and second place at the university stage of the All-Ukrainian competition of student research papers in geography.

On February 1, 2021, the first stage of the All-Ukrainian competition-defense of student research papers in the section "Geography", "Earth Sciences (Hydrometeorology)" was held at the the Faculty of Geology, Geography, Recreation and Tourism.

The results of the faculty competition of student research papers revealed the winners in the section "Geography":

  • 1st place – Valeria Mirenkova (supervisor – Ph.D in Geography, Assist. Prof. Kateryna Kravchenko), Yanina Melnik (supervisor – Ph.D in Geography, Assist. Prof.  Y.I. Prasul)
  • 2nd place – Hanna Karaichentseva (supervisor – D.Sc. in Geography, Assist. Prof. Kateryna Sehida), Anton Achkasov (supervisor – Ph.D in Geography, Assist. Prof. N.V. Popovich)
  • 3rd place – Tatiana Davydenko (supervisor – Ph.D in Geography, Assist. Prof. Olena Sinnaya)

In the section "Earth Sciences (Hydrometeorology):

  • 1st place - Svyatoslav Dmitriev (supervisor – Ph.D in Geography, Assist. Prof. Svitlana Reshetchenko).
