On June 29 - July 5, 2022, Assistant Professor of the Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies Kateryna KRAVCHENKO took part in the academic mobility under the Erasmus+ program at the Department of Geography, Tourism and Territorial Planning of the Faculty of Geography, Tourism and Sports of the University of Oradea (Romania, Oradea). The curator of the stay at the university was the Associate Professor of the department dr. Cezar MORAR. During the visit, Kateryna took part in working meetings with lecturers of the Department of Geography, Tourism and Territorial Planning of the University of Oradea, in particular, in the scientific and practical workshop of the department on armed conflicts in Europe and Africa, where special attention was paid to the war in Ukraine and its consequences, internal and external migrations. Kateryna also discussed the possibility of implementing double diplomas in the master's degree in the educational programs "Geography of Recreation and Tourism", "Economic, Social Geography and Regional Development" with lecturers of the department and continuing and expanding cooperation with dr. Vasile GRAMA who is responsible for cooperation under the Erasmus+ program.
During the visit, Kateryna studed the peculiarities of the natural resource and tourist-recreational potential of the Bihor region, history of resettlement and economic development of the territory, modern demographic and socio-economic situation of the city of Oradea, a significant number of tourist objects of the cities of Oradea (in particular, wellness tourism), Museum of the Oradea Fortress.
