On April 8, 2026, in the safe space of the Karazin University, a meeting was held with Viktor Dvornikov, an architect-restorer, head of the Urban Development Platform NGO, deputy head of the Working Group on Cultural Heritage Preservation of the Kharkiv City Council, a member of the National Union of Architects of Ukraine.

"Architecture That Earns: How Heritage Can Create Our Future"
During the event, they talked about our common capital - the city and its architecture, their potential and how, under the right conditions, they can become the basis for development and change in the future. Particular attention was paid to the challenges of preserving urban heritage in modern conditions and the role of architects, urban planners and the community in these processes.

Victor also presented the department with a new book dedicated to the history of the development of the Slobazhan region, "Threads of the Wild Field".
