On October 1, within the framework of the discussion club organized by the K. Niemets Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies, students of the department had the opportunity to share their experience of participating in the project "Urban Hackathon for the revitalization of student campus spaces". The project was implemented within the framework of the V4 Gen Mini-Grant grant program, funded by the Visegrad Fund.
Daria Vengrin, a PhD student and senior lecturer of the department moderated the meeting.
Students of the department Olha Podpriatova, Orest Dunikov, Oksana Apanasenko spoke about the eventful days of the program, their experience of working in interdisciplinary teams, and presented their finished projects for the restoration of the Karazin Sports Complex.
This was followed by a lively discussion dedicated to the importance of international cooperation and the role of hackathons as platforms for the formation of creative and innovative ideas. The participants emphasized that such events not only contribute to interdisciplinary teamwork, but also help in the search for new acquaintances, provide knowledge exchange and contribute to the creation of practical solutions that can be applied to real urban spaces.
Thank you all for your active participation! We look forward to the next meetings of the discussion club!
