International Scientific and Practical Conference
for Students, Post-graduate Students and Young Scientists
«Region – 2018: Human-Geographical Aspects»
The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, Kharkiv regional station of young tourists (Ukraine), A. Kuleshov Mogilev State University (Belarus), Tallinn University (Estonia), University of Silesia in Katowice (Poland), University of Girona (Spain), University of Oradea (Romania) will organize on April 3-4, 2018 the international scientific and practical conference for students, post-graduate students and young scientists «Region – 2018: Human-Geographical Aspects» to join forces of young scientists for solving current regional problems and issues facing social and natural sciences, as well as finding the ways to improve the quality of geographers’ education.
Official languages of the conference are Ukrainian, Russian and English.
Conference sections:
1. Theory and methodic of researches in human geography.
2. Modern issues of regional development.
3. Geodemographical studies.
4. Recreational geography and tourism.
5. Environmental management and sustainable development at the regional level.
Deadline for submitting the articles is March 15, 2018.
Participants should also submit:
Application form which should contain the following information:
• First and last names.
• Name of the institution and its contacts.
• All contacts (institution/organization, phone numbers, e-mail, post address).
• Conference section.
• Name of the article.
• Supervisor’s name (for students and post-graduate students);
• Form of participation (making presentation or only publication).
• If any presentation equipment is needed.
• Advance booking for accommodation.
Article
The materials are accepted if they correspond to the subject of the conference and the following requirements.
• Maximum 4 pages;
• Microsoft Office Word;
• Page A4, portrait orientation;
• Margins 2 cm;
• Times New Roman, 14 pt;
• Line spacing 1.5;
• Paragraph indention 1 cm.
The article should include: in the upper left corner goes an universal decimal classification number, below (next line) first and last name of the author (-s) in a bold italic type, right-aligned; on the next line – author’s email, below – the academic degree and rank, initials and last name of the supervisor, italic type, right-aligned; on the next line – the full name of the institution, the city, the country.
The title of the paper goes in capital letters in bold type, centered. The text of the paper is placed below. References are given in square brackets. Under the text the list of references in italic type, 12 pt is given.
Don’t put a difficult graphic material and big tables in the text.
The article and application form should be sent by e-mail with confirming receipt of the organizing committee. All the files should be in *.doc format. The name of file should contain the last name of the author (for example, Petrova.doc). Every article should be edited and checked by the scientific supervisor. Each participant of the conference sends only one article (sole or co-authored).

Invitation, plan and program of the conference will be sent later according to filed applications.
If you apply for travel or other grants in order to visit the conference, we can prepare the invitation in advance, before sending materials, in this case in-dicate your first name, last name, your position, academic degree, academic title, the conference section, the title of your report.
Participants from other cities are accommodated at the Kharkiv Regional Station of Young Tourists or in hostels.
Accommodation, meals, travel costs are paid by the participants of the conference by themselves.
Cultural program includes tours around Kharkiv.
