As part of the practice, the 2nd year students of the K. Niemets Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies made a number of study trips aimed at deepening their knowledge of the historical, cultural and natural environment of the city of Kharkiv.
During the practice, the students visited the Museum of Archaeology of Karazin University, where they got acquainted with unique archaeological finds that reflect different historical stages of the development of the territory of Ukraine and the region. Special attention was paid to the methods of archaeological research and interpretation of material sources.
An excursion was also organized to the Botanical Garden of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, where students had the opportunity to get acquainted with the diversity of the plant world, the principles of collection formation and the role of botanical gardens in preserving biodiversity.
The final stage was a familiarization walk through the Taras Shevchenko Garden, during which the students examined the features of the formation of urban public space, its recreational functions and significance for city residents.
