Participation in the XXXIII Karyshyn Readings

The International Scientific and Practical Conference "Methodology of Teaching Natural Sciences in Secondary and Higher Education Institutions" (XXXIII Karyshyn Readings) was held on May 28-29, 2026. The scientific event was held at the Poltava National Pedagogical University named after V. G. Korolenko in a mixed format.

The conference was attended by of the 3rd year higher education applicants of study of the first (bachelor's) level of the educational program "Geography. Natural Science. Economics. Tourist Work" specialty 014.07 Secondary Education (Geography).

Taras DRON, together with his scientific supervisor – D.Sc. in Geography, Professor, Head of the K. Niemets Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies Kateryna Sehida – presented a report on the topic "Methodological potential of toponymy in the formation of students' civic identity in geography lessons in the conditions of the New Ukrainian School”.

Serhiy LYSKA, together with his scientific supervisor – PhD in Pedagogy, Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Geography and Cartography Kateryna Borysenko - presented a report on the topic "Historical and biographical context of natural sciences in school geographical education using information technologies".

The conference program covered topical issues of modernization of natural sciences, digitalization of the educational process and formation of professional competence of future teachers. Participation in events of this level contributes to maintaining professional dialogue with colleagues, exchange of best practices and dissemination of modern educational practices.

The conference became an important platform for developing cooperation between higher education institutions of Ukraine and the international academic community.
