On April 24, 2026, as part of the project “Nature Restoration – challenges and opportunities for future landscape specialists” (FutureLand) under the Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnerships for Higher Education (KA220-HED) program, the webinar was held on the topic: “The Implementation of the EU Nature Restoration Regulation in Spain and Catalonia: A Multilevel Governance Perspective”. More than 90 students, postgraduates, scientists, representatives of various enterprises and organizations from 9 countries around the world attended the webinar.
During the webinar, Fernando Magdaleno Mas (Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge), Marc Vilahür Chiaraviglio (Government of Catalonia), Marc Marí (Diputació de Girona), Miquel Rafa (Nature Protection Council), Cristina Sánchez (Nature Conservation Network (XCN) in their presentations revealed the issues of implementing the EU Regulation on nature restoration in Spain and Catalonia, the implementation of nature restoration policies at different levels of government (from state to local), existing challenges and prospects, as well as practical steps and solutions for nature restoration in combination with agriculture.
