Lecturer of the department joined the work of the pilot Hackathon of educational projects from Bendukidze Free Market Center

Daria Venhryn, a senior lecturer at the K. Niemets Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies, participated in the pilot Hackathon of educational projects from Bendukidze Free Market Center, held on March 28-29, 2026 in Kyiv. The event brought together educators from different regions of Ukraine and became a platform for creating innovative solutions in the field of economic and financial literacy aimed at updating the content of education and strengthening its practical component.

The work of the Hackathon took place in an intensive two-day format: from the identification of the key challenges of economic education to the development and presentation of ready-made project solutions. Participants worked in teams, formed ideas, determined target audiences and searched for effective approaches to the integration of economic knowledge into the educational process, with a special emphasis on practicality and the possibility of real implementation.

As part of teamwork, an educational project was developed aimed at bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real life challenges. The initiative involves holding workshops for teachers, creating a practical guide with integrated lessons and launching the "Economic Thought Marathon", which will make learning more interactive, relevant and practice-oriented.

Participation in the Hackathon became an important experience of professional growth, team interaction and exchange of ideas. The developed solutions have the potential to be further implemented in educational practice and will contribute to the development of economic culture and financial literacy of students.
