Lecturers and PhD students of the K. Niemets Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies took part in the Annual International Scientific Session of Doctoral Students «The contemporary geo-spatial analysis for the future spatial planning»

On December 17, 2025 lecturers and PhD students of the K. Niemets Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies took part in the Annual International Scientific Session of Doctoral Students «The contemporary geo-spatial analysis for the future spatial planning», which was organized by the Doctoral School of Geography, Sports Sciences and Physiotherapy of the Faculty of Geography, Tourism and Sports of the University of Oradea (Romania). The conference was held in a hybrid format and brought together graduate students from 8 countries around the world. The participants of the conference presented interesting and relevant reports on the problems of preservation and revitalization of cultural and natural heritage, the impact of the climate crisis and natural risks on cities and regions, the development of sustainable tourism and rural areas, transformations of urbanized spaces, envoronmental and socio-economic vulnerability, environmental quality and bioclimatic conditions, etc. In particular, PhD student, senior lecturer of the department Daria VENHRYN presented a report on the topic: “Urban Resilience during the War: The Case of Kharkiv”.

We sincerely thank the organizers of the conference for holding such an important scientific event, the opportunity to present our own scientific achievements and get acquainted with human-geographical research in the countries of Europe and the post-Soviet space.
