On November 26, 2025, students and PhD students of the K.Niemets Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies took part in a training dedicated to issues of mine safety and explosive remnants of war. The the Charitable Organization "Coordination and Humanitarian Center" organized the event.
Students of all levels and all educational programs of the department joined the training. The format of the training was mixed: some participants worked online, others offline in the safe space of the university.
During the training, the participants got acquainted with the algorithm of actions in case of being near potentially mined areas, examined in detail the types of mines and their features, and also learned to determine the signs of their detection and the radius of damage. Thanks to visual materials and video content, the students deepened their knowledge of mine safety and learned the procedure for action in dangerous situations. The information received is extremely important for life and training in the frontline region and will help increase the level of personal safety.
We express our gratitude to the Charitable Organization "Coordination and Humanitarian Center" for conducting such an important and useful training!
