On November 13, 2025, lecturers of the Department of the K. Niemets Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies, members of the working group from V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, took part in an online working meeting on the project on the topic: "Nature Restoration - challenges and opportunities for future landscape specialists" (FutureLand), funded by the Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnerships for Higher Education program (KA220-HED). The participants of the project are the University of East Finland (Finland), the University of Girona (Universitat de Girona, Girona), the University of Venice (Université luav di Venezia, Italy), the Regional Council of North Karelia (Finland), Diputacio de Girona (Spain), the Administration of the Veneto Delta del Po Regional Park (Ente Parco Regionale Veneto Delta del Po, Italy) and the V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.
During the working meeting, the issues of dissemination and promotion of the project, the content and plan of a series of webinars were discussed, which will reveal the general characteristics of the EU Nature Restoration Law, the challenges and opportunities for its implementation for higher education and landscape management, the features of the implementation of the Law in Finland, Spain, and Italy, the movement towards harmonizing Ukrainian environmental legislation with European legislation, presentation of regional cases of nature restoration in the project partner countries, as well as the features of post-war restoration in Ukraine.
