On April 25, 2025, the department held an International Scientific and Practical Conference for Students, Postgraduate Students and Young Scientists "Region - 2025: Human-Geographical Aspects".
More than 70 applications were submitted to the conference from different regions of Ukraine and other countries, in particular from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Hungary.
More than 50 participants directly participated in the conference, including from foreign higher education institutions: Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (Georgia), University of Debrecen (Hungary), Institute of Geography named after G.A. Aliyev, Azerbaijan.
12 participants made reports at the conference that addressed current problems of socio-economic development of regions. Current problems of regional development were discussed.
