Our achievements


On May 8 - 21, 2022, lecturers of the department: prof. L.M. Niemets, prof. Sehida K.Yu., Assoc. Prof. L.V. Kliuchko, Assoc. Prof. Telebienieva, Assoc. Prof. Kravchenko K.O. completed an internship at the University of Ostrava (Czech Republic) under the Erasmus+ academic mobility program. As part of the indicated internship, the lecturers started to work on the preparation of the application under the Erasmus Mundus double degree program.

On May 12, 2022, Prof. L.M. Niemets, prof. Segida K.Yu., Assoc. Prof. L.V. Kliuchko, Assoc. Prof. E.Yu. Telebienieva, Assoc. Prof. Kravchenko K.O. held a working meeting with representatives the Tomas Baty University in Zlín (Czech Republic), in particular the management and employees of the Faculty of Economics and Management. During the meeting, an agreement was reached on expanding cooperation between departments and universities, planning more effective research cooperation in the field of human geography, spatial planning, regional development within the framework of the existing agreement.

On June 29 – July 5, 2022 Assoc. Prof. Kravchenko K.O. completed an internship at the University of Oradea (Romania) under the Erasmus+ academic mobility program, where issues of further cooperation were considered.

July 9 - 23, 2022, prof. L.M. Niemets, prof. Kostrikov S.V., prof. Sehida K.Yu., Assoc. Prof. Kliuchko L.V. completed an internship at the University of Girona (Spain) under the Erasmus+ academic mobility program. As part of the internship, meetings were held with the university management, the issue of expanding further cooperation was discussed, including joint conferences, seminars, workshops, preparation of joint courses and work on double diplomas. Acquaintance with the scientific and practical component of the Department of Geography, in particular as part of expeditions to the Montserrat Natural Park, Lloret de Mare, La Escala, etc.

An Interuniversity Agreement was signed between higher educational institutions of the program and Erasmus+ partner countries (with the University of Ostrava) to ensure the mobility of students and lecturers between universities for 2021-2023 (November 4, 2021).

During 2021-2022 academic year Assoc. Prof. Kravchenko K.O. received a scholarship named after A. M. Krasnov in the nomination "Earth Sciences" (gifted young scientist in 2021);

Prof. Segida K.Yu and Assoc. Prof. Kravchenko K.O. were awarded the V.N. Karazin University Prizes, 1st and 3rd degrees, respectively.

Assoc. Prof. Kravchenko K.O. was awarded a letter of thanks from the Department of Education and Science of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration for significant contribution to the organization and holding of events within the framework of the "Night of Science - 2021".
