Denys Volkov is a postgraduate student at the K. Niemets Department of Socio-Economic Geography and Regional Studies, Faculty of Geology, Geography, Recreation and Tourism of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.
He was born on September 26, 1975 in Dresden, Germany. In 1997, he graduated from the V. Hetman Kyiv National Economic University, Faculty of International Economics and Law. He also studied at the Universität Konstanz (Germany), Faculty of Economic Sciences and Statistics. From 1999 to the present, he has worked as a regional and national manager of a number of Ukrainian and international companies, participated in the local self-government of the territorial community of Makariv (now Fastiv) district of Kyiv region. In 2023, he entered full-time postgraduate study at the Department of Socio-Economic Geography and Regional Studies, Faculty of Geology, Geography, Recreation and Tourism of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.
He is working on a PhD research on the topic "Socio-economic development of the territory as the basis for its post-war restoration (case study of Kharkiv region)"
