Students Olha Podpriatova and Viktoriia Stupak are studying at the University of Ostrava (Czech Republic) under the Erasmus+ international mobility program.


The 2nd-year students of the K. Niemets Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies Olha Podpriatova (educational program "Economic, Social Geography and Regional Development" specialty 106 Geography) and Viktoriia Stupak (educational program "Geography. Natural Science. Economics. Tourism Work" specialty 014.07 Secondary Education. Geography) have been studying under the Erasmus+ Learning Agreement Student Mobility for Studies International Mobility (KA171) international mobility program at the University of Ostrava (Czech Republic) since February 2025.

This is a great opportunity for 2nd year students of the K. Nemets Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies to gain important knowledge and skills at the Department of Human Geography and Regional Development, Faculty of Science without a break in their studies in Ukraine.

The girls chose the following joint courses to study: Limits of Development in China and India, Mountain Landscape, Physical Geography 2 (meteorology, climatology and hydrology), Practical and Specialist English 6. Olha also additionally chose Economic Geography, and Viktoriya chose Political Geography of the Caucasus in accordance with their educational programs.

The K. Niemets Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies of the Faculty of Geology, Geography, Recreation and Tourism of Karazin University has a long-term and successful cooperation with the Department of Human Geography and Regional Development of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Ostrava. Over the past four years, 12 students of the department have undergone semester studies at the University of Ostrava within the framework of the Erasmus+ program.
