Maryna Lohvynova is a senior lecturer the department.
She was born on January 23, 1994 in the village Kam’ana Yaruga of Chuguevsky county of Kharkiv region. In 2011, he entered the V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University at the Faculty of Geology, Geography, Recreation and Tourism, who graduated with honors in 2017 and received a Master's degree in Human Geography. The topic of the master's thesis: "Economic and geographical features of the branch of plant growing in Kharkiv region". During three years of study at the university he was chairman of the Student Scientific Society of the Faculty of Geology, Geography, Recreation and Tourism. In 2017 he entered the PhD courses at the Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies. In 2017-2021 she was a member of the Academic Council of the Faculty of Geology, Geography, Recreation and Tourism, in 2018-2021 she was a member of the Academic Council of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.
In 2021 she defended her thesis for obtaining the PhD degree in Earth Sciences on the topic: "Human-geographical features of forced migration in the border regions of Eastern Ukraine". In 2021-2022 she a senior lecturer, since 2022 she has been working as an Assistant Professor of the Department.
She teachs the following courses:
• Methods of educational work
• Population geography and settlement
• Geography of the Kharkiv region with the basics of regional studies
• Regional development and territory planning
• Workshop: Planning excursion routes
Research interests: geodemography, urban planning, migration processes, problems of regional development.
