Olha Suptelo is PhD Earth Sciences, Assistant Professor of the Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies, Faculty of Geology, Geography, Recreation and Tourism, V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.
Was born on September 19, 1994 in the city of Pereshchepin, Novomoskovsk district, Dnipropetrovsk region. Since 2011 she has been studying at the Faculty of Geology, Geography, Recreation and Tourism at the V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and graduated with honors in 2017 and received a Master's degree in Economics and Social Geography. In 2017 she entered the postgraduate study at the V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University at the Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies.
In 2021 she defended her thesis for obtaining the PhD degree in Earth Sciences on the topic: "Post-industrial transformations of the city of Kharkiv: human-geographical aspects". In 2021-2022 she a senior lecturer, since 2022 she has been working as an Assistant Professor of the Department.
She teachs the following courses:
• Regional human geography
• Statistical methods and processing of geoinformation
• Social geography
• Contemporary Debates in Human Geography (taught in English)
• Organization of local studies and tourism work at school
Scientific interests: geography of the population, geodemography, geoanalysis, problems of regional development.
