Volodymyr Redin – PhD in Geography, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor of the Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies, Faculty of Geology, Geography, Recreation and Tourism, V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Excellent Teacher of Ukraine.
He was born on June 21, 1939 in Kharkiv. In 1967 he graduated from the Faculty of Geology and Geography of A. Gorky Kharkov State University. Since 1970 he has been working at the Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies. In 1984 he defended the thesis on the "Geographical aspects of studying the structure of land use in terms of active erosion"

• Urban geography
• System analysis in tourist and recreational activities

• Social geography
Research interests: distribution of productive forces, regional studies, geography of transport, human geography of the world.
